The Groves on Boone Lake Developer’s Vision
The Groves on Boone Lake is a lot more than just another development for me—Boone Lake is part of my heart and soul. From my earliest memory, my family has lived, played and worked at the lake. That’s why when I found this special place, I knew I had to create this special place for folks who share my passion for mountain lake living.
Boone Lake was built by the TVA in the early 1950’s. It’s extraordinary because of its convenient location in the heart of the Tri-Cities, yet with mountain views and 130 miles of gorgeous shoreline. My dad, Joe, was one of the first daredevils on the lake. He built a floating ski jump from plywood just for he and his friends. That jump led to plenty of dares, tons of fun and a lot of bruises. I even have a photo of dad skiing behind a floatplane on the lake! When it came to squeezing every drop of fun out of a lake—my dad was a genius.
Yet, the love for life and family fun is what I remember most about growing up on Boone Lake. Our family spent just about every spare minute on a boat, on a pair of skis or along its banks playing ball or picnicking. In fact, my brother learned to barefoot water ski (chip off the old block) and won numerous national competitions as one of the best—thanks to dad and the lake.
As I became a builder of commercial and residential developments in the region, I never ventured far from my Boone Lake heritage. The Groves on Boone Lake is thus my labor of love.
You can experience my vision as a homeowner when you lounge around our pool, hanging out with your new best friends - then stroll a few steps down to your boat for a quick spin around the lake. I’ve crafted every condominium to have a good view of the lake, especially for morning coffee or with a cold drink at dusk in a summers evening when the lake gets quiet again. These aren’t your every day condos. My brother and I have built quality into every one. Some features, like an awesome kitchen and bath or our intricate trey ceiling in the master bedroom, you will notice immediately. Others won’t be so obvious until you spend your first quiet night inside your new home.
It’s easy for me to get a little sappy about The Groves on Boone Lake because it was crafted as a home where I’d want to live. Comfortable and convenient to shopping and dining, but truly focused on the best thing the Tri-Cities has too offer—the beauty and fun of an amazing lake. Come visit us and experience The Groves.
